During the last Senate meeting, the Graduate Student Organization (GSO) conducted elections to fill crucial leadership roles and Senate positions. The results of these elections are as follows:
 
GSO Executive Board Positions:
Recording Secretary: Abiodun Adeoye
Financial Secretary: Aditee Malviya
Communications Secretary: Kalaya Sibley
 
These dedicated individuals will play essential roles in the GSO’s administration, ensuring its smooth operation and effective communication with the graduate student community.
 
University Senators: Eight talented individuals were elected as University Senators to join the two University Senators elected last year. These Senators will represent the interests and concerns of graduate students within the university community:

  • Rashida Thomas
  • Andrea Sprague-Getsy
  • Adia Santos
  • Saladin Abuhamdiya
  • Egor Zhukov
  • Becca Vinciquerra
  • Felisa Ojadi-Kedigui
  • Prasad Ranka

These Senators will be instrumental in advocating for graduate student needs and ensuring their voices are heard at the university level.
 
At-Large Senators: Four At-Large Senators were also elected, and there are still two at-large spots left to be filled. The elected At-Large Senators are:

  • Bertie Probyn
  • Pulak Jain
  • Fathima Sania Hasan
  • Venkata Yashwanth Yellapragada

These At-Large Senators will represent a diverse range of perspectives and contribute to the GSO’s mission of fostering a supportive and inclusive graduate student community.

The GSO is excited to welcome these dedicated individuals to their respective positions and looks forward to their contributions in the coming year. The two remaining at-large spots provide an opportunity for further graduate student engagement and representation within the Senate.
